Postmortem: Iteration 2

Overview

In this iteration, our team focused on establishing the foundational elements of the project, including basic infrastructure setup, initial project documentation, and architecture planning. However, due to changes in requirements and the need for stakeholder approval, the development progress has been slower than anticipated.

Key Accomplishments

  • Set up basic infrastructure, including initial project repository and Docker containers.
  • Created preliminary project documentation to outline our architecture and workflows.
  • Established communication with the stakeholder regarding architecture and UI requirements.

Challenges

  • Stakeholder Delays: The stakeholder's evolving requirements, particularly around the architecture and datasets, caused delays in finalizing our project approach.
  • Dataset Uncertainty: We are still waiting on the stakeholder to provide key datasets, which is preventing us from fully designing the backend and frontend data flows.
  • Slow Progress: Due to frequent waits for stakeholder feedback, the overall team pace was slower than expected.

Next Steps

  • Awaiting the delivery of necessary datasets to begin data integration and refine backend services.
  • Continue working on project mockups and initial UI planning based on updated stakeholder feedback.
  • Improve internal coordination to keep progress moving independently where possible, even when waiting for stakeholder responses.

We will continue to refine our approach in the next iteration as we receive additional details from the stakeholder.
