This rule detects unauthenticated access to the sensitive Twonky Server log file endpoint
/nmc/rpc/log_getfile, which exposes administrator credentials. The rule matches any HTTP request where the URI exactly equals/nmc/rpc/log_getfile, using a lowercase transform to ensure case-insensitive matching. No additional zones or variables are needed because the vulnerability is triggered simply by accessing this endpoint, regardless of parameters or headers. This approach minimizes false positives and negatives by tightly focusing on the exposed endpoint. The labels include the correct CVE, ATT&CK, and CWE references, and the test configuration ensures the rule is loaded and expects a 403 response when the rule is triggered.Validation Checklist:
value:fields are lowercase.transformincludeslowercase.match.valuecontains capital letters.equalsfor exact endpoint match, which is appropriate here.
