Error keyboard WinPE setup

When the script was executed with the .xml file, we were expecting this error.

The error is probably related to a VBScript component, but Microsoft has removed the VBScript from WinPE.

The error message is not related to VBScript. The pe.cmd script needs to locate the Windows source image, and it does this by looking for files named install.wim, install.esd or install.swm on most drives:

This should work when you use the Media Creation Tool to create the installation medium on a USB flash drive, or when you use tools such as Rufus or AnyBurn to copy an .iso image to a USB flash drive.

How did you create the installation medium, and where is the Windows source image actually located? For custom images with irregular names or stored in other locations than the sources folder, you might need to use the Provide your own .cmd script to handle the Windows PE stage option.

It's not a USB key but a PXE boot tool like MDT (I created it myself and the image is on a previously mounted network drive

It doesn't matter, I changed my method and I use DISM /Apply image to install Windows then I copy the autounnatend.xml into the Windows panther folder and it works
