Fish Tools

An extension for Adobe After Effects.

Overview

Fish Tools is a utility panel for After Effects users. It combines common layer operations, a keyframe graph editor, and system monitoring tools into a single interface.

Key Features

Graph Editor

• Curve adjustments: Edit easing curves using bezier handles.
• Presets: Save and apply custom easing settings.
• Controls: Includes grid snapping and auto-apply options.

Toolbox

• Assets: Create Shapes, Solids, Nulls, Cameras, and Adjustment Layers (Right-click for alternate actions, e.g., Null & Parent).
• Effects: Apply standard effects like Fill, Tint, Blur, and Curves.
• Helpers: Freeze frame, fit to comp, mirror layers, and adjust anchor points.

System Info

• Dashboard: Displays standard system and project details.
• Timer: Simple session stopwatch.
• Updater: Checks only for updates from the repository.

Installation

Windows Installer

1. Download the release.
2. Run installer.bat as Administrator.
3. Restart After Effects.

Manual Method

1. Place the FishTools folder in:
   • Win: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions\
   • Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions/
2. Restart After Effects.

Note: Enable "Allow Scripts to Write Files" in AE Preferences > Scripting & Expressions.

Usage

Open via Window > Extensions > Fish Tools.
