Create installer package

DFendX can make exe installer packages from installed games. This packages will contain all game data (program files, profile, data folder, captured screenshots etc.) and can be archived and installed again later.

For making exe installers DFendX is using the open source installer maker Nullsoft scriptable install system (NSIS). DFendX will create a nsi script from which NSIS will create the exe file. This means you will need to have NSIS installed on your system to use this feature. (There is no need to configurate the NSIS installation path in DFendX because the path can be read from the registry.)

Package settings

From this box you can select if DFendX should only create a nsi script (for later use with NSIS) or should create a nsi script and compile it with NSIS to an exe installer. (In most cases you probabily want the second option.)

Package file name

In this edit field you can enter the name of the exe installer to create. The file must be located in the base data folder (see directories of the program options dialog) because there are relative path names used in the nsi script. (The exe installer itself can be copied an executed from any location.)
