Is there a function for connect? Like the web function for ios and android?

Hey @Erchil66, thanks for the question. There is (so to speak), but it requires some boilerplate to configure and add to Twilio. What do you have in mind to use it for?

@cybex-dev hi for conference call which is MyConferenceId , It's already set on backend but Twilio sdk has a function called connect. which can be use also to go for a call.

I did some tweak on the package so in my case i need to go back to the current call if the other callee is not being picked up, This was a flow for forwarding.

I did able to work it though don't know swift well so i did this:

on SwiftTwilioPlugin.swift
add a function connectConference

Though i found some bothering encounter like when call ended in the conference which only 1 person is still remaining the hang-up function doesnt trigger. Though i t can be manually hang-up via callkit which is weird. I don't know if am doing it right or wrong?

I see, my work was focused on incoming calls from a remote backend making use of existing infrastructure and functions.

I can certainly add something as you have in mind to enable a conference calling feature though with planned reworking of the iOS swift code, it may only come around May, with Web CallKit integration and other planned features.

It is a great suggestion and I'll certainly be adding that, thank you.

@Erchil66 I'll expose the raw connect() feature of TwilioVoice on both Android & iOS for those who wish to use it for conferencing ability.

Temporarily, one can do the following:

• (server)
  • add an API call to the Twilio REST server
    • create an endpoint use Calls.create (ASP.net) or calls.create (nodejs)
    • set the Action URL to join-conference
    • add a parameter e.g. 'Reconnect':'{conference_uuid}'
• (client
  • in TwilioVoice callEventsListener, listen for incoming then check for "Reconnect" parameter and automatically answer with TwilioVoice.instance.call.answer()

This is a temporary workaround for more easily handing conference calls
