When typing lower case letter i, Cypress changes the letter to something else.

Current behavior

In my automation script, I am typing a lower case letter "i". But, when I run the automation script, it changes the lower case letter i to a different character. It happens in both Chrome and Edge. The application works fine when I test it manually.

Type in lower case letter "i" in any field and run the script in Cypress.

@chandnibedi Can you click on the type command in the Command Log, this should log the sequence of keypress events that may provide some insight here. https://docs.cypress.io/api/commands/type#Command-Log

It looks as if it is typing an i, yet the styling of the i in that font looks like an uppercase I or a lowerlase l to me.

No, it is not typing "i". If you type in a lower case i and an upper case I, it does not match what is being typed by Cypress. The issue occurs wih the letter "j" as well.

When I enter "i" into the Salesforce application directly, it works fine. But, when I execute my Cypress automation script, it changes the "i" to a different character. Please see images below.
