Spoofing version examples:

• 17.39.35

• Can I spoof to 17.40.xx+ ?

Spoofing to 17.40+ causes endless loading in feed.

However, once you spoof to 17.39.35 and load the new layout, you can spoof to 17.40+.
But spoofing to newer versions is buggy, so no point.

• Is there an older version to spoof?

No.
In March 2024, YouTube ended support for 16.01.xx-17.32.xx completely.
The current minimum version is 17.33.xx, which is no different from 17.34.36.

Notes

In the app settings, the app version will be marked as the spoofed version.

This will change the appearance of the app, but unknown side effects may occur.
This setting will not be reflected immediately. Please restart the app several times.
Sometimes, it takes hours to receive new UI from server.
To reset the layout immediately, please clear the app data or log out.

Tips

• How to reflect version spoofing immediately:

1. Turn on the airplane mode
2. Clear the app data
3. Open YT ReVanced
4. Set the spoof version
5. Exit the app
6. Turn off the airplane mode
7. Open the app
8. Wait 10 seconds and exit the app (because the YouTube app does not work properly when the first launch)
9. Open the app again

• Minor versions are actually ignored.

All 17.06.00-17.06.99 are treated as the same.
