Good to hear you found a solution! Yes many email service providers (incl. gmail) handles the copying to sent mail internally, so the email client does not need to do anything. I've been meaning to add support for auto-detection of "Sent", "Trash", "Spam", "Inbox" etc. to nmail, but there's not been any feature request for it, so I kind of forgot that the lack of it can cause this problem, even with gmail. I might look into this, to avoid others running into this/similar problem. |
Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
Viewing [Gmail]/Sent folder, the name/address of sender (From:) is shown. Since in gmail the other folders are just tags / subfolders inside gmail inbox, they are treated as such; so From: field is more relevant technically.
Nevertheless, is there any way to have an exception for [Gmail]/Sent, to show the To: field?
I searched if this was discussed or reported as bug but didn't find anything. Also, as I mentioned, technically it's not a bug. I wonder if you have already given a solution which is not applicable in my case due to locale ( [Gmail]/Απεσταλμένα is the actual [Gmail]/Sent folder in Greek; remarkably sent messages are saved there without me interfering with main.conf ).
