Should we use PAI 5.0 with auto-mode enabled? #1123

Hi, Im testing PAI 5.0 in a sandbox and so far so good, thanks for the new release @danielmiessler! Its really getting great! In my main PAI install I had to bring .pai outside .claude folder to prevent being constantly prompted for permissions in any writting inside the .claude folder (PRDs) this brought other issues but more or less I managed with that I have been doing some test with PAI 5.0 and in recent versions of Claude there is an auto-mode that allows for more permissive use of the working folder, which in normal PAI is .claude. Are we suppose to run PAI in this way with autho mode enabled? Any feedback on this would be much appreciated ps there are some additional folder permissions in settings.json to give access to everything inside .claude but unless I have auto mode enabled these settings are not being honored. Any ideas? |

A bit more on this, just found that automode is not avaiable for sonnet so I guess that this solution is not viable. Anyone experiencing this? working on PAI 5 migration but deailing with constant permission prompts feel like a real blocker for me. Many thanks! |

Hey @javierburongarcia, thanks for raising this, and sorry it sat for a while. We're changing how LifeOS ships. Instead of cloning a full That's aimed right at what you hit here. The old "one directory, one layout, hope it matches your setup" approach is exactly what broke for so many people, and the new model should handle it far better because your AI does the integration per machine instead of us guessing. So we're closing this in prep for that release. If it still bites you once the skill-based version is out, reopen or file a fresh one and we'll jump on it. Appreciate you taking the time. |
