Hello and thank you for your message. You can install LifeOS inside of Codex or any other agent harness. It will require some migration, but your Codex agent can help you do that! Thank you for the request! |

Dear Daniel and the LifeOS community,
My name is Machok, and I am a LifeOS user from mainland China.
Because I am unable to register for or use a Claude subscription from where I live, Codex is currently the only AI coding platform I can reliably access and use. I am also new to AI tools, coding agents, and open-source contribution workflows, so I may not yet understand all of the technical constraints behind LifeOS’s current architecture.
I live with adult ADHD and complex post-traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD) related to childhood abuse. I share this only to explain why LifeOS matters to me personally. Executive function, consistency, and returning to important tasks can be difficult for me. A system that helps turn intentions into small, concrete actions could make daily life more manageable—not as a replacement for professional support, but as practical structure for everyday work and life.
I understand that full Codex compatibility may involve substantial work, especially where LifeOS relies on Claude-specific capabilities. I am not asking anyone to set aside the existing roadmap or build a custom solution for me.
However, I would like to respectfully ask whether you would be open to a maintained Codex compatibility path, even if it begins with a smaller scope. For example, clearer documentation about what works in Codex today, a community-maintained adapter, or a defined contribution path for gradually closing the gap.
I would be happy to test early versions, provide reproducible bug reports, and share feedback from the perspective of a real beginner user. I may not yet be able to build the most difficult parts myself, but I can help identify where the experience works well and where it breaks for people who depend on Codex.
A note on authorship: I used AI to help draft and translate this message because English is not my first language and I am still learning how to communicate in open-source communities. However, the experiences, circumstances, and request described here are my own. AI only helped me express them clearly; it did not invent them or decide to make this request on my behalf.
Thank you for building LifeOS and making it open to the community. I hope a Codex path can eventually make it accessible to more people who, like me, do not have a practical way to use Claude.
Sincerely,
Machok
