Dockerless install

For a variety of reasons, I don't use Docker.

Instead, I use either Baremetal or LXC.

Is it possible to expand the documentation to cover running the software in an existing container or Linux system?

Hey @Anagastes -- I've been working on a wrapper, which still needs testing. If you're up for a flatpak, Give this a shot?

I can test it, but to be honest, I don't quite see the added value yet.

Floppy’s goal is to integrate many services. That’s why it has webhooks for Kodi, Plex, etc., and also allows for public sharing.

Limiting Floppy to purely desktop use, where none of that makes sense (since the PC is turned off, there’s no synchronization with other services).

Or is the Flatpak meant to enable a quick server installation? :D

It's meant to be a Quick local install. From what I can tell, most people are running this on a single device, and calling other services from that device, not unlike Kodi/Nuvio/Stremio. The usecase is to remove the friction of knowing what Proxmox/Docker/Distrobox is and having this run well for anyone.

I don’t have enough data on the number of users in a purely local desktop environment... I just find it really frustrating to do it this way 🤣 (not very efficient)

Take your time. It was something I started on before getting involved in Floppy directly, but will be pausing until we can get our out of date up stream in order
