[Done] Website and/or Discord channel? #439

I've thought about a website, but I'm pretty sure the domain I'd want is parked and asking for $30k. So I haven't put much thought into it. I've been asked about Discord more than once. I don't think Discord is a good place for bug reports, or being able to reference past learned context. I worry about my ability to keep up with it, especially since GitHub alone is enough for my spare time. At the moment I'm leaning against a Discord, just because I want to ensure issues and solutions are easily searchable by humans and agents. If we can draw a good line, I could be convinced on Discord. I did create a GitHub Project I'd like to find an owner for. It is a queue of Upstream Yamtrack Commits, with a task added every day by an n8n automation if commits are added. If someone would own looking at their work and seeing if they solve bugs we have, add features that could be useful, but with an eye for knowing what would break what we've already done, I have fallen behind on that task. |

Discord can absolutely be a double edge sword if not Moderated, or if ego and pride run astray, but I've always valued the community building and ability to gather beta testers and active conversations with the users. I think If you set up good rules, and create the funnel of Pushing everyone to Github for bugs and feature requests, I think you can have best of both worlds. As for the Project -- Sounds interesting. I can potentially help out there, but need to understand it a bit more to see if I can actually be useful there. Regarding the domain --> It's more about the Ux of information than domain at this point. I think if you git floppy.github.io or similar, that would do just fine for now, then focus on bigger branding in the future. Glad to help coordinate or whatever you might need on that front too. |

https://dannyvfilms.github.io/floppy/ And if the GitHub Project is better maintained by someone else, I'm totally ok with that too. Just need someone that feels comfortable monitoring it. |

I'm still not entirely sure I'm the best man to help you with the project aspect, but if you wanna throw it at me, feel free to and I can figure out what's best. I own scrobble.dev so if you wanna use that for anything let me know, I dunno how I want to use it yet, but open to suggestions Glad to set up the channel and we can trial it as well, otherwise I'll leave it to you haha. |

Hey @dannyvfilms -- Big fan of your work on this so far, it looks great, and glad you gave Floppy it's own identity rather than hanging out in the shadow of Yamtrack.
Curious if you plan to do anything with Community side, or website side.
Let me know you you need any help with anything on that front. While I'm not a direct developer, I'm a product manager by profession and glad to help write docs or help ideate or whatever is needed.
