A Home Assistant integration that sends your solar, consumption, battery and other sensor readings to PVOutput, and can read them back.
Sending the current reading is the easy part. What this integration is built for is history, in both directions:
Into PVOutput
- Nothing is lost. Every value goes into its own 5-minute history log first; when PVOutput, the network or the hourly limit stops uploads, the backlog goes out later by itself.
- Catch-up after the integration was off, from Home Assistant's recorder.
- The past, from before you installed it: imported from Home Assistant's recorder and long-term statistics, and sent.
- Any period again, like the IoTaWatt firmware's PVOutput reload, as statuses or daily totals.
- Fields added later, back-filled for any period.
Out of PVOutput, into Home Assistant
- PVOutput's history (every column, even what other uploaders sent) as hourly Home Assistant statistics, for the Energy dashboard and statistics graphs.
- Kept current every day, late statuses included.
- A new sensor with a full past: a field set to Download gets a live sensor whose statistics go back as far as PVOutput's history.
None of this can be done with a rest_command automation or Home Assistant's own
PVOutput integration. Start with History operations.
Also: every PVOutput field, including extended (v7-v12) and battery (b1-b6) fields for donor accounts, mapped from the UI; battery fields in batches; the hourly request limit shared so history never delays live data.
