Entities reference

Each PV site is one device. Entity IDs below use a site named My System; yours follow your system's name.

Per field

Entity	Example	What it shows
Field sensor	sensor.my_system_v5_ambient	The source: sensor friendly name or fixed value, with the upload unit (Outside °C, 5544 Wh), or PVOutput for a field added from PVOutput

Field sensor attributes

Attribute	Meaning
pvoutput_field, pvoutput_field_name	The field and its standard name
mode	send, record_only or download (with direction and active behind it)
source	sensor, fixed value or none
source_entity, source_name, source_unit	The source sensor, its name and unit
pvoutput_unit	The unit sent
configured_to_send	Set to Send and allowed by the account type
not_configured_to_send_because	Why not, e.g. needs a PVOutput donor account
value_per_interval	average, last or energy_today
last_recorded, last_recorded_value	The newest value in the log, and when

It does not show whether uploading is on or what PVOutput accepted; see the switches and diagnostics below.

Download sensor attributes

Attribute	Meaning
pvoutput_status	The PVOutput status the value is from (date and time)
downloaded_at	When it was read
not_downloaded_because	e.g. v7-v12 on a standard account

Unknown means PVOutput has no value; unavailable means reads have failed for three upload intervals.

Controls

Entity	What it does
Uploading switch	Stops sending; recording and downloads carry on
Downloading switch (while a field downloads)	Stops the live reads
Daily history download switch	Adds yesterday's PVOutput history to statistics every day (on by default)
Clear queued history button	Takes the waiting backlog off the queue; nothing is deleted

All switches keep their state across restarts.

Sensors

Sensor	Shows
Normalised output from PVOutput (while a field downloads)	Power per kW of system size; unknown when nothing is generated
Last upload (while a field can be uploaded)	When PVOutput last accepted something; kept across restarts
Last download (while a field downloads)	When PVOutput was last read

Diagnostics

Rejected samples	Statuses PVOutput refused

History samples, History start	Size and start of the history log

Rate limit pause until	When a pause for the hourly limit ends

Last error	The latest problem; a recorder problem stays until reading works again
History download days left	Progress of a PVOutput history download; attributes: archive start, days with and without detail, last result
