• Dictionary: Add to anki / list from search results
• Anki: Examples sentences can be added to notes

Improvements:

  • New deconjugation engine, handles more deconjugation patterns

    • Searches for multiple possible search terms at the same time
    • Ignore white space at the beginning and end of search terms
  • Image search and DeepL supported on MacOS and Windows
  • Back navigation clears search and resets current entry
  • Readability of kanji stroke order diagrams
• Text: Improved handling of conjugations
• Kana table: playback on android does not cut off
• Anki: Setting to decide how adding a duplicate should be handled
• Various small UI improvements

Fixed:

• Windows drawing recognition does not work
• Quick add to word list selection is always empty
• DoJG: Zooming and scrolling using the mouse wheel conflicts each other
• Anki
  • The order of languages when sending to Anki has been ignored
• Some audio files cut of on Android devices

Which release do I need?

It is recommended to use the store of your platform to install DaKanji, however, all release names end in the platform they are made for:

• Android: .apk
  • if you are not sure which architecture your device uses, use the file ending in fat.apk
• MacOS (universal): app.zip
• Linux (x86):
  • linux.zip portable Linux application build on Ubuntu 22.04
  • snap.zip snap package
  • .flatpak flatpak package
• Windows (x86):
  • exe.zip build on Windows 10
  • .msix msix installer (DaKanji v3.1.0+ is signed with the same certificate that I created, therefore you need to add it to your trust list)

Notes:

• the builds .app, linux.zip, exe.zip do not automatically register deep linking.
