A logo declaring the project name with an icon beside it. On the left is a vector drawing of 'The anomaly', which is a strange shape, sort of like a black hole, that creates a 4-dimensional box from the empty space within it. Thin and modern lettering spells "SHADOWBOX' to the right.

As humans, we want to leave something positive behind for those that must remain. Yet we are incapable of predicting our final moment in advance. With this in mind, all acts must be treated as if they may be our last. We act to give agency and ownership of AI to our users.

We uphold the conviction that fair and reasonable approaches can facilitate the study, creation, and appreciation of artificial intelligence. The exploitation of labor, the displacement of human tasks by self-interested groups with no renumeration in return, the wastefulness of energy resources, and the reckless implementation of technology are entirely unethical actions. AI should not be exclusive or centralized when users shoulder the expenses for machine learning.

May the leading force in artificial intelligence studies, education, distribution, and possession of information prioritize the wellbeing of all global citizens.
