v0.3.0
What's new in v0.3.0
- Launch at Login — toggle in the popover to start WhatCable automatically when you log in.
- Cable change notifications — opt-in macOS notifications when a cable, charger, or USB device is connected or disconnected.
- Update checker — WhatCable now polls GitHub for new releases on launch and every six hours, with an in-popover banner and a "Check for Updates…" item in the right-click menu. Click through to the release page to download.
- App icon — proper app icon for the Dock, Finder, and About panel (the cable connector symbol on a blue squircle, matching the menu bar).
- Bug fix: plug orientation — removed the misleading "Plug inserted upside-down" bullet. USB-C is reversible by spec; the raw
PlugOrientationvalue is still visible under "Show technical details". - Internal: target rename —
Sources/CableTest/→Sources/WhatCable/.
