We're excited to share the latest releases, feature enhancements, tweaks, and fixes across our services. Here's what's new:

Version DOIs now grouped together when adding to ORCID records via DataCite

• Works that are added to ORCID records via DataCite are now grouped together in your ORCID record if the DataCite RelatedIdentifier metadata indicates that the works are versions of each other. Versions are also now added to your ORCID record automatically when ORCID auto-update is enabled. For more information, see the ORCID Auto-Update Troubleshooting Guide.

New metadata quality snapshot for all DataCite DOIs in the Metadata Dashboard

• We’ve added a new view to the Metadata Dashboard for all DataCite DOI metadata across every organization and repository. Explore metadata quality for every DOI or filter by registration year, resource type, or a custom query.

More improvements

• The normalization changes announced last year are now in effect, promoting greater consistency and fidelity between XML and JSON versions of DOI metadata.
• The “Add to ORCID Record” button in DataCite Commons is now more responsive, making it easier to add and remove works from your ORCID record.
