Backup / Restore operation with password

When I try to restore the metadata to another windows server with Seq installed with a different 'storage' option (F:) than the original installation (C:), I always get an error message with corrupted secret key. If I copy all data from F: to C:, I can successfully restore the metadata with the same secret key. The secret key should somehow be generated with the original storage option. In order to bypass this issue, I suggest to add an option to do a metadata backup with a password, so we could restore the metadata anywhere just providing the password.

Hi! Thanks for the feedback. The secret key functions just like a regular password, though, so there's likely to be some other factor at play. If you're still having trouble with this, please reach out to Seq support with:

• Seq service setup info: seq service list
• An example command-line showing how you're retrieving the secret key: seq show-key or similar (with output, but preferably redacted)
• An example successful restore command line: seq restore
• A failed restore command line, with output
• The Seq version you're running

This should be enough for us to pinpoint what's going on. Thanks!
