What is a "Data Schematic"?

It's our take on Data Dictionaries in the Age of AI.

We combine the high-resolution, high quality statistical FAIR metadata (compiled with qsv's stats, moarstats & frequency commands) with the inferencing and classification power of AI (using describegpt & schema commands), with a Human-in-the-Loop hook to fine-tune the model's inferences (which is saved as a JSON Schema - https://github.com/dathere/qsv/blob/master/examples/viz/nyc311_dict.schema.json)

The term we coined also conveniently:

• has the root word "schema" - as in "metadata schema"
• schematic denotes a "diagram" or a "drawing" - appropo given its visual nature
• like automatic - as a lot of the heavy-lifting is done by qsv and the LLM to draft a starter Schematic that the user can tweak
• even editing the Data Dictionary JSON Schema can be done with the aid of an agent using this skill
