postgres introspection error

Having about 1400 schemas in a postgres database, i am getting this error.
Tried to filter the schemas to only the 3 i really need, but this doesn't seems to help.
There is a loading indicator before the database name spinning for a long time, then i get the error.
It's not possible to expand the database section while it's spinning.

I am working on a solution for this as it's come up for another user as well with a large number of schemas in Athena..

I am traveling this week and it's a big change so want to make sure it's good before I ship it so probably won't be till early next week.

If you are up for editing the settings.json for this config… you can add a schema filter by hand… which will give you a temporary work around… let me know if you are and I can provide you the json to add..

I have just released version 1.28.9 which contains progressive introspection for Postgres and Postgres compatible DB's

To enable it, edit your connection, at the bottom in the advanced section expand introspection and click to enable progressive introspection, you can then tell it to fetch all items in the background when you connect, or on demand which will fetch their details as you use interact with them (open the, script them etc).

You will want to use the option to only load them as you need them, not in the background as otherwise it will try and go through all 1400 on initial connection… There are a few rough edges I am still ironing out, but soon this will be the default for all new connections, and eventually the only way introspection will work.
