Please compare this to the other add-ons like https://github.com/ddev/ddev-drupal-contrib and https://github.com/UltraBob/ddev-drupal-code-quality and explain why this one, that's only 34 minutes old, should be made official.

I think first you need to have some users and some user input. And at least more than 34 minutes on it!

If you mean adding it to https://addons.ddev.com/, it should be there tomorrow.

If you mean making it official, it should be created from the template so it includes all required tests, etc.: https://docs.ddev.com/en/stable/users/extend/creating-add-ons/. Once the add-on is popular/useful and has some positive feedback, we can consider adding it to the official add-ons.

It also doesn't have automated testing, and doesn't appear to have been created from the ddev/ddev-addon-template

You'll want to read that template's README and docs.

You'll want to read https://ddev.com/blog/ddev-add-on-maintenance-guide/ and run the tool there that checks for compliance.

Come back when this has some time on it. Consider removing the ddev-get label while you do these things, and while you compare to other add-ons.
