maybe include RDT here or in the grinder API? Perhaps there should be a preparation endpoint that captures the 'how' and not just the what.

I hate to say it, but water is whole other world some folks may want to capture.

there'll be an open field 'extras' for all the things we can't think of now (or haven't been invented yet). That applies to all the new API extensions (beans, grinders, ...)
