Hide burst albums

At least on Sony, bursts (of both types, see issue #598 as well) are creating a folder for each burst, I get many-many "Albums" - which I don't really want, they pollute my album view. Would it be possible to hide bursts from albums, while still showing the bursts as regular images?

Probably an option (or maybe/probably linked with the enabling of Sony bursts?) that hide folders "BURST" and "PREDICTIVE_CAPTURE" and everything under it from becoming an Album - while still showing the images as if they were in the album these folders exists in. For instance; DCIM/PHOTOGRAPHY_PRO/BURSTS/DSC_20230419084453080/*.jpg should show up as if they were in the album "PHOTOGRAPHY_PRO" instead of album "DSC_20230419084453080"...

I understand how annoying these albums are, but it's not trivial to address this issue. It would break the current 1:1 mapping of album to folder for local storage. And it raises questions such as whether the app should recreate this useless Sony folder structure when moving images, renaming albums, etc.

I absolutely see your point and stand. And about moving and renaming albums I had not given that any thoughts.

Just tried to see what Google Photos does about this, but it seems you cannot move images there. But when you (in Google Photos) choose to keep just one of the images in the burst, it deletes all but one, and leaves that one in the same folder structure. So it doesn't touch it - but I understand that's something entirely different.

I think my take on this would be to (still) ignore that stupid structure when moving/renaming. If you do anything with the burst, like moving or renaming, it should physically end up in the first album up in the hiearchy. You could treat the "DSC_20180619163426901" as an album internally, just not show it as an album in the GUI if "Burst Pattern"==Sony.

The thing is, I don't use bursts, and probably just have a handful. But it turned out that I have loads of these predicitive captures from a previous phone - I wasn't really aware of the count because it wasn't easily visible in Google Photos. I will probably be able to sort through them and move the ones I want to keep to DCIM - but would have been nice with a more integrated support. While Sony as a smartphone vendor has become quite small in market share, I'm not the only one using it :)

But I understand if this will be WONTFIX...
