Wrong password default

After i install the 9 router, from the docs says just started
but in dashboard there are error [DB] No SQLite driver available (bun/better/node/sql.js all failed)
i input the default password

123456 is still the documented default only when INITIAL_PASSWORD was not set. However, the password is not the cause of the message you quoted: the database failed to initialize before login can be checked.

9Router tries better-sqlite3, then built-in node:sqlite on Node >= 22.5, then sql.js; that final message means every driver failed. The current selection order is visible in driver.js.

I would fix the runtime first:

node --version
npm --version
npm install -g 9router@latest
9router

Use Node 22.5 or newer (Node 24 LTS is a good choice). That gives 9Router the built-in node:sqlite fallback even if the native better-sqlite3 install is broken. If you already have a suitable Node version, preserve and rebuild only the dependency runtime, not your database:

mv ~/.9router/runtime ~/.9router/runtime.bak
npm install -g 9router@latest
9router

Do not remove the whole ~/.9router directory, because that contains your data. There is also an open report for this exact failure where the runtime installer prunes better-sqlite3: #1605.

After startup logs show a line such as [DB] Driver: node:sqlite | file: ..., try 123456 again (or the value you supplied in INITIAL_PASSWORD). If it still fails, please paste the three preceding [DB] ... unavailable: lines plus your OS, node --version, and 9router --version; those lines identify which dependency/fallback is missing.
