DeepSeek Harness

🐋 dsh-whale-musume: A Cheerful Whale-Girl Desk Pet for DeepSeek Harness

What if your coding workspace came with an energetic childhood-friend mascot who stays right beside you?

I built a fully local desk-pet plugin for DeepSeek Harness — the Whale Musume. She keeps you company while you work, slacks off, and grind through deadlines. She can grow closer to you, collect achievements, check the weather, and draw from 494 lines of dialogue.

✨ What she does

• 💼 Work-aware: the moment DSH starts running, she picks up her laptop and switches to a "working" state with a glow and status chip. She never randomly changes poses while you're working — signal flicker and interrupted pose transitions are stress-tested.
• 💬 494 lines of dialogue: cute first, with safe meme territory — wage-slave life, slacking off, DDL panic, empty promises from the boss, and chaotic "I'm fine" energy. She also chats proactively every 5–8 minutes, matched to what you're currently working on.
• 🕐 Time-based greetings: good morning, good noon, good evening… and never pings you after midnight.
• 🌤️ Weather companion: just set a city; it uses the free Open-Meteo API, no API key required. Leave the city blank and it makes zero network requests.
• 🎀 Interactive growth: head-pats, feeding, triple-click celebration, drag-and-drop pickup, and a wall of 30 achievements.
• 🎨 47 poses with motion-masked transitions: idle actions enter with a "squash down → swap → pop back" animation — no crossfade, no black frames.

🔒 Privacy & local-first

• Everything runs locally: no telemetry, no external requests (weather is opt-in).
• Task-content classification happens entirely in your browser with local keyword matching — nothing is uploaded.

🚀 Install in three steps

1. Download the plugin zip from Releases
2. Unzip and run node scripts/apply-theme.mjs --target "<your DSH install dir>"
3. Hard-refresh DSH (Ctrl+Shift+R), then go to Settings → 看板娘 and toggle what you like
