workspace:^ is a pnpm workspace protocol. npm install cannot resolve it — that error means npm was run against a git checkout of this repo, not the published package.

To just run DSH (no clone):

npx @deepseek-ai/dsh@latest web

If npx hangs or OOMs on Node 24/25, skip it and install globally:

export NODE_OPTIONS=--max-old-space-size=8192
npm install -g @deepseek-ai/dsh@latest --legacy-peer-deps
dsh web

Current dist-tags: latest = next = 0.1.1-rc.2. --legacy-peer-deps avoids the npm 11 Arborist freeze on this graph (#3786).

From source, the README is pnpm install (not npm), then pnpm run build and pnpm dsh web. Enable Corepack first:

corepack prepare pnpm@11.7.0 --activate
pnpm install
pnpm run build
pnpm dsh web

Using --legacy-peer-deps later brings in another problem while starting dsh web with following error where the cyclic dependencies are missing -

node:internal/modules/package_json_reader:301

To fix it, use pnpm and install using following command for short term fix -
