Update 2026-09-18 — v0.3.0: remote background jobs 🚀
Also since first post: preset-less transparent mode verified end-to-end on real servers (dual-tab workspace picker → official adoption → 7 same-name shadow tools in agent scope, with native terminal/read cards), plus a security pass (password storage converged into a 0600 store with Windows ACL tightening, prototype-pollution guard, Release notes: https://github.com/harryopo/dsh-cloud-workspaces/releases/tag/v0.3.0 |

dsh-remote-ide — Cloud workspaces: run the agent on your Linux server over SSH
Repo: https://github.com/harryopo/dsh-cloud-workspaces
Pick Cloud (SSH) in the workspace picker, and the coding agent works directly on your remote server:
bash, read, write, edit, glob, grep— the entire built-in toolset — transparently execute over SSH. Files, search, editing and terminal all live on the remote box.Zero install on the server. No vscode-server-style remote agent, no daemon — a stock OpenSSH server is the only requirement. Everything rides standard SSH channels (exec / SFTP / PTY via ssh2).
Highlights
ctx.fs(13 file methods) andctx.subprocessseams are swapped for SSH-backed implementations, scoped to sessions whose cwd falls under a cloud placeholder. Local sessions are never touched.presentCall/presentResultpresenters, so chat rows render as real terminal/read cards — expandable and copyable.workspaceRegistry, show up in every session picker ashost / path.Install (from source; npm publish in progress)
Restart
dsh web, then: Settings → SSH Connections → add host → Add workspace → Cloud (SSH) tab → browse → use directory as workspace. Open a session on it and ask the agent torun pwd.Quality
Built only on official
@deepseek-ai/dsh-*SDK packages. 100 unit tests + 25 E2E tests over a real SSH server; verified end-to-end on a real box (openEuler).Feedback and stars welcome — and thanks to the DSH team for the excellent plugin SDK and the capability-seam design that makes this kind of integration possible.
