How can I get an API key for DeepSeek Harness? free or paid?

DeepSeek Harness does not issue API keys itself. Create or obtain a credential from the DeepSeek provider, then configure it in the Harness UI under Settings → Models, or provide it to the runtime as DEEPSEEK_API_KEY (for example, export DEEPSEEK_API_KEY=sk-your-key-here).

For the Python SDK, the same environment variable is inherited by the runtime; set DEEPSEEK_BASE_URL as well only when using an OpenAI-compatible proxy instead of the default DeepSeek endpoint. Keep the key in a secret store or environment/CI secret rather than committing it to project files. The project’s user guide and Python SDK guide describe these two paths.

2. key 在哪拿:打开 platform.deepseek.com → 注册/登录 → 控制台里「API Keys」→ 创建新 key(sk- 开头). 创建时只完整显示一次,请立即保存到安全处.
3. 怎么配进 dsh:设置 → 模型 里把 key 填进 DeepSeek 供应方(存在本地凭据区);也可以设环境变量 DEEPSEEK_API_KEY(源码 packages/llm/llm-deepseek/src/index.ts:88 的默认凭据名). 改完保存并重新发一轮试试.
4. 常见踩坑:key 前后粘进空格、复制漏字符、把别的平台的 key 填进去;另外官方 API 与官网网页版是两个体系,网页版登录密码不是 API key. 若仍报错,先在 platform.deepseek.com 里确认该 key 状态为启用.
