Confirmed independently on macOS arm64 with Electron 44.0.0 and DSH 0.1.6-alpha.1 (source checkout We reproduced the failure through native UI automation: with the API address field focused in Settings → Models, the paste operation timed out waiting for the application to read the clipboard, and the field remained empty. Adding Electron’s standard Minimal fix, including the paired Desktop README update: Validation completed:

Uh oh!
There was an error while loading. Please reload this page.
The desktop shell installs an application menu template that contains no Edit
menu, and therefore no
paste/copy/cut/selectAll/undoroles. OnmacOS, Electron delivers those shortcuts as application-menu key equivalents,
so with no Edit menu the shortcuts never reach the focused text field. There is
also no
context-menuhandler in the shell, so right-click offers no Pasteeither — as far as I can tell there is currently no way to paste into the
desktop app at all.
This blocks the documented first-run flow: Settings → Models → enter a
DeepSeek API key. The field accepts typed characters, but the key cannot be
pasted into it.
Reproduction
pnpm install && pnpm run buildpnpm run dev:desktop(Electron 44.0.0, macOS 27.0 arm64)Affects ⌘C, ⌘X, ⌘A and ⌘Z in every text field in the app, not just this input.
The menu template is shared, so packaged builds are affected too.
