What it is
A small community plugin that adds a global UI zoom to the client: the sidebar, session list, menus, settings surfaces, overlays and conversation all scale together, from the keyboard.
Why
ui-theme.fontSizecovers conversation content only; the chrome around it is fixed pixel sizes, and the shell has no page zoom (no View/zoom menu role, nosetZoomLevel/zoomFactor, noCmd+=/-/0binding). On a 4K/5K display, or at a viewing distance, the interface stays small even at the largest text setting.Install

Cmd/Ctrl+=(orCmd+Shift+=)Cmd/Ctrl+-Cmd/Ctrl+0Steps: 80 · 90 · 100 · 110 · 125 · 150 · 175 · 200 %. The level persists in
localStorage;__dshZoom.get()/set(1.25)/step(±1)/reset()are exposed for scripting. How it works
It ships as an ordinary bundle (
dsh.bundle.patchplus adsh.clienthalf withimmediately: true), applieszoomtodocument.documentElement, and binds the three chords in the window capture phase — which runs ahead of the shell's owndocumentcapture dispatcher. Zero runtime dependencies and no build step;npm testis a dependency-free DOM-stub smoke test.Known limitations
zoomdoes not rescale viewport units, so the few overlay clamps that use100vh/100dvhcarry a build-guarded patch.Verified against DeepSeek Harness 0.2.0-rc.2 on macOS. MIT. Repository: https://github.com/DC-507/dsh-zoom
A native
setZoomFactor-based UI scale would avoid all four limitations — I left that as an idea in #8646.All reactions
