Alpha preview: DSH Session Groups — cross-project pinned groups in the Web sidebar
Version
0.1.0is now available on public npm as an alpha preview. Install @umialpha/dsh-session-groups; its three supporting packages are installed automatically.I’m building DSH Session Groups, an independently installable plugin for the DeepSeek Harness Web profile. It adds cross-project organization to native pinned Sessions without changing DSH source code.
The screenshot shows the current sidebar layout:
cwd). Deleting a group leaves its members pinned. The bundle automatically replaces the official Workspace client entry with a version-matched derivative and installs its supporting packages. Users do not need to edit DSH source code or profile YAML. Removing the bundle restores the official Workspace and keeps native pins and Session data.
Drag-and-drop is implemented for moving Sessions within and between groups, including pinning Sessions dragged from project trees. Component regressions, type checking, builds, local tarball installation/removal, themes, collapse behavior and restart persistence have been checked. Real mouse drag-and-drop acceptance is still pending; this preview does not claim that the complete workflow has passed manual acceptance.
Compatibility
Plugin
0.1.0supports only DeepSeek Harness0.2.1-alpha.2and Cordis4.0.5-alpha.1. The npm defaultlatesttag currently points to the older DSH0.2.0-rc.2, so an unversioned installation does not select the supported version.Release status
All four
0.1.0packages are publicly downloadable, and their contents and integrity hashes match the release tarballs. Installation, activation, Web startup, removal and official Workspace recovery have passed using an unmodified official DSH CLI and a fresh test profile, with isolated npm/pnpm authentication settings and no local package overrides. This does not replace real mouse drag-and-drop acceptance, which is still pending.Installation
The explicit registry applies only to this installation and avoids a 404 while npm mirrors catch up. When running DSH Web, open the full authenticated URL printed by
dsh web.To remove the plugin and restore the official Workspace:
Source, screenshots, build instructions and limitations are available in the README.
The project is MIT licensed. Its Workspace derivative retains DeepSeek’s MIT license and copyright; see third-party notices.
Feedback on the sidebar layout and real mouse drag-and-drop is welcome here or in GitHub issues. Please include your DSH version and reproduction steps.
