Correspondence Statuses

The following are the statuses a Correspondence could be in based on where in its lifecycle it is.

These statuses affect which tab on Correspondence Queue they show up in as well as what happens when clicking on the link to them in either Correspondence Queue, Veteran case search, Correspondence Details, or Case Details.

  • Unassigned
    • Has an unassigned ReviewPackageTask
    • It will show in Unassigned tab on Correspondence Queue - Correspondence Cases
    • When clicked on in Correspondence Queue, Veteran case search or case details
      • Goes to Review Package if user is in Inbound Ops Team
  • Assigned
    • Has an assigned or in progress ReviewPackageTask
      • Or on hold ReviewPackageTask with an active eFolderUploadFailedTask
    • Has an assigned or in progress CorrespondenceIntakeTask
      • Or on hold ReviewPackageTask with an active eFolderUploadFailedTask
    • Has an assigned or in progress ReturnToInboundOpsTask assigned to any Inbound Ops Team user
    • It will show in Assigned tab on
      • Correspondence Queue - Correspondence Cases
      • Correspondence Queue - Your Correspondences
    • When clicked on in Correspondence Queue, Veteran case search or case details
      • Review Package
        • Goes to Review Package if user is in Inbound Ops Team
      • Intake
        • If the user who started Intake then resumes Intake
        • If  not the user who started Intake then cancels other Intake and starts a new one for this user
      • Return to Inbound Ops
        • Goes to Correspondence Details
  • Action Required
    • Has a Package Action Task assigned to Inbound Ops Team with status of assigned
      • This includes ReturnToInboundOpsTask assigned to Inbound Ops Team
    • It will show in Action Required tab on Correspondence Queue - Correspondence Cases
    • When clicked on in Correspondence Queue, Veteran case search or case details
      • Split
        • Under Construction or Split page
      • Merge
        • Under Construction or Merge page
      • Reassign
        • Reassign modal
      • Remove
        • Remove modal if Inbound Ops Team Supervisor
        • Disabled link if not
          • It's queued up for Removal so shouldn't let a user either see it or act on it until an Inbound Ops Team Supervisor approves/rejects Remove request
      • Return to Inbound Ops
        • Goes to Correspondence Details
  • Pending
    • Has at least one "task not related to an appeal" open (assigned, in progress, on hold)
    • It will show in Pending tab on Correspondence Queue - Correspondence Cases
    • When clicked on in Correspondence Queue, Veteran case search or case details
      • Details page
  • Completed
    • CorrespondenceRootTask is completed or no open (assigned, in progress, on hold) CorrespondenceTasks
    • It will show in Completed tab on
      • Correspondence Queue - Correspondence Cases
      • Correspondence Queue - Your Correspondences
    • When clicked on in Correspondence Queue, Veteran case search or case details
      • Correspondence Details page
