Github Blocked Fix

GitHub Block needs to be fixed because even though I blocked my ex, why can they still see my starred repositories and my repositories? Because they watch me every day, they log into my account and check my website, and I am very uncomfortable. I want this to be fixed 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Hi @codedbyelif, thanks for reaching out. Unfortunately this is the repository for the GitHub Desktop open source project and we who contribute here have no ability to address trust and safety issues on the website itself, for that I have to refer you to the GitHub Support portal.

On a personal note I'm deeply sorry that you've found yourself in a situation where another person tries to limit how you express yourself online. It makes me both upset and angry and I wish I had a straightforward solution for you. In this particular case of viewing starred repositories I imagine that since those are public even for unauthenticated users it would require a rather large product change to support blocking a user from viewing those 😞 You've done the the most important thing though which is blocking this disruptive person.

I'm going to close this issue since it's outside of the purview of the Desktop project. The GitHub Community discussions referred to above might well have better resources than I have on how to cope with online harassment. I wish I had a better response to give you.
