Swipe right to activate a profile

Like in other menus where we can load a route or favorite, I would like to use swipe right to activate the corresponding profile instead of going over the 3-dots-menu. This would also be consistent.

It would be a benefit for me, because I need to switch the profile very often and with gloves via the 3 dots is difficult.

However, this would limit the operation of the smartphone.
I use the swipe to switch between different active programs.

@umpfmpf These swipes already exist and are internal in the specific app lists.

Try in the favorites list to swipe left or right a favorite.

That's okay in the favorites too, I don't use them when driving.
It would only be irritating in normal navigation mode when driving.

Another agument for swiping right to load the profile: swiping left for deletion of the profile is also working, then swiping right could also work like in favorite or routes menu.

As a disinterested observer, the larger "Tile Buttons" would have been ideal for this (glove-friendly) but if they cause issues between devices/resolutions/orientations, we're a bit stuck!

With the current "list view" we have now - perhaps a larger separation between entries and/or a horizontal line? Ideally any solution would need to handle any device (and user!) configuration but also offer the least "faff" 🤯

@umpfmpf Thanks for the video, that's why reports need detailed steps and explanation. 🙂

You probably selected "Gesture navigation" in Android settings.
Swipe from left or right is the "Back" action, not switch apps.

Android settings describe how this mode works (see image):

"To go home, swipe up from the bottom of the screen. To switch apps, swipe up from the bottom, hold, then release. To go back, swipe from either the left or right edge".

Or better use the "3-button navigation" that we know works well all these years.

This is installed on my 2nd device with 5.6. Here I can open the navigation bar without Cruiser stopping navigation.

@umpfmpf Check on your devices what the swipe gesture from the left/right edge of the screen does.
On most devices it is the same as pressing the back button. In such case must use another gesture.

I found the "error": on the Samsung s24 I activated the "One Hand Operation+" option.
