"Librespot Connect" shows up, but doesn't make a noise

first off: thank you for this amazing piece of software, I cant wait to use my old xiaomi mi a2 (Android 10) productively angain.
however I cant seem to get it to work. The "Librespot Connect" device does show up on my iPhone, but once I select it, it just says "Connecting..." and keeps playing through my iPhone speakers.
Does anyone have an idea what I could do to make it work?

Hi @lgschw, thank you for interest in our proof-of-concept and your kind words. Sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
I am afraid you will have to look elsewhere for a fitting solution as librespot-java is not actively developed any longer. This project is a mere integration layer for android, so there is probably no point in pursuing with it.
