DashProject

An amateur 2D action game for Android touchscreen.

(Please, excuse my english. Corrections for both english and code are welcome!)

The idea is to provide a frantic experience using a very simple control. The atmosphere mixes sci-fi technology and medieval features.

Each level consists in a top-down tiled map where you can freely move the hero looking for enemies (with a simple radar support) to defeat them in a race against time. The hero moves teleporting to nearby places. He attacks automatically to nearby enemies using swords.

There are high and low obstacles. The hero can take cover behind low obstacles only when he is near to them.

There will be combos and special attacks.

If development progresses fast enough (what's this?) the game will have an adventure context with some brief cutscenes.

This game is developed using LibGdx (thanks Mr. Zechner). It can be tested on desktop machines with Java (Windows, Linux and Mac OS X) using the mouse but the target platform is Android touchscreen.

The current prototype is still being expanded. Then, it will be entirely refactored.


Another game from the author is "Boo & Marung": https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=devnatres.android.boomarung It was made in Java completely from scratch, without third-party libraries nor frameworks (not even OpenGL).
