"Coulnd't find embedded texture dict" when opening Texture Editor for a MP player component ydd #376

Environment

  • Windows 11
  • GTA V Legacy v3788 (Epic)
  • CW v30 dev 46

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open x64v.rpf\models\cdimages\streamedpeds_mp.rpf\mp_f_freemode_01 directory.
  2. Open uppr_014_r.ydd, or any other drawable dictionary file.
  3. Click "Texture Editor" button.

Expected behaviour

Texture Editor shows up, allows editing of the normal / specular maps.

Actual behaviour

A message box shows up instead:

Couldn't find embedded texture dict.

Workaround

Use XML Import / Export to perform the intended action.

Other information

"Save All Textures" correctly finds and saves normal and specular maps, as are Texture Tool and OpenIV embedded texture export.
