Submit ha-bookstack-sync to hacs/default #17

@dibi73

Description

@dibi73

Get the integration listed in the default HACS catalog so users can find it via HACS search instead of having to add this repo as a custom repository.

Prerequisites (verify before submitting)

  • hassfest validation passing on main
  • HACS validation passing on main
  • Quality scale at silver or higher (we're at gold as of v0.5.0)
  • Public repo with description + topics
  • Tagged release with semver (v0.5.0)
  • Brand images live at home-assistant/brands/custom_integrations/bookstack_sync/ — currently shows "icon not available" in HACS. Earlier PR was closed by a bot; needs resubmission. (Tracked separately, but HACS-default usually wants the icon present.)

Submission steps

  1. Read current rules at https://github.com/hacs/default — they evolve. Note required JSON entry format, README section, version-pinning policy.
  2. Fork hacs/default (use the same dibi73 fork pattern as the brands fork).
  3. Add the integration entry. For type=integration it's typically a single line in the integration file: dibi73/ha-bookstack-sync.
  4. Open the PR with the title format the README specifies.
  5. Wait for the auto-validation bot. If red, read the bot's comment, fix, push to the same branch.
  6. Once green, the human reviewer queue is the next gate — can take days to weeks.

After landing

  • Update repo README to drop the "Custom repositories" install instructions and replace with "search HACS for BookStack Sync".
  • Bump README to mention HACS-default availability.
  • Consider whether to keep the fork or delete after merge.
