In order to handle how 2LS lists the failed properties
(in the format "[property-name] description: status").

So I suppose 2LS does not have an equivalent of stop-on-fail?

Would you mind using egrep for the patterns, so that \ is only used when genuine escaping is sought?

It has stop-on-fail (it had a different name -- I renamed it).
