The box to add the state under extra conditions has gone in the UI and can only be done in the code editor. V1.3.2.3

Just had another look and in fact all the text input boxes have gone and just the drop down boxes are there

I think this issue is caused by the recent ha-textfield change/removal in Home Assistant.

I had the same problem with another custom card, Notify Card. In that case, replacing all ha-textfield instances with ha-input fixed the missing text input fields.

I noticed that ha-textfield is also used inside alert-ticker-card-editor.js, so this card may be affected by the same frontend change.

For anyone applying a manual fix:

• replace all ha-textfield instances with ha-input in alert-ticker-card-editor.js
• remove or rename alert-ticker-card-editor.js.gz
• clear the browser/app cache

Alternatively, waiting for an official card update should also fix it once the maintainer updates the editor code.

Special thanks to @yunusuztr for pinpointing the root cause and the exact fix — your analysis was spot on.

Root cause: HA 2026.5 removed the ha-textfield component (MWC). All text input fields in the visual editor disappeared as a result.

Fix: All ha-textfield instances in alert-ticker-card-editor.js have been replaced with ha-input. A new release will be published shortly — no manual workaround needed, just update the card and clear your browser cache.
