I could not find a unprivileged user to run the application, it would be nice if it is included in the Dockerfile.

We intentionally do not provide a pre-configured /etc/passwd entry for a non-root user because it's likely to conflict with what our users might want/need to provide or create downstream.

For many use cases, you can get away with using a raw UID/GID, and not defining an explicit user in /etc/passwd at all:

$ docker run -it --rm --user 1234:5678 python
Python 3.13.1 (main, Dec 25 2024, 01:33:28) [GCC 12.2.0] on linux
Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information.
