[dumb-init] docker-bench-security.sh: No such file or directory

Hello everyone,

First off, apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this. I am new to Github.

I have tried to run this tool on Docker Desktop (running on Windows 10 pro) by following the directions for building and running the tool and Docker-Compose found on this project's page. In both instances, I get the following error:

[dumb-init] docker-bench-security.sh: No such file or directory

I have verified that this file is present in the directory, so I am not sure what the issue could be. Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi @Dave-0-0 and @Starbeuck, I have no experience when it comes too running docker-bench-security on anything else than a Linux system and there haven't been any form of testing on anything other than on Linux.

Could you include build and and run logs?

There's actually no log files, it's the messages you get when you use docker build and docker run.

Thanks, can you build using docker and not docker-compose?
Please note that various things will break even if it builds, you probably don't have /usr/lib/systemd, /var/lib, or /etc directories.

Is that the build command you are referring to?

Is docker-bench-security looking for these folders on the host, or in the containers itself? Since I have a Windows host, I definitely would not have those folders.

Docker build needs to know where to find the Dockerfile. It looks like you are in the directory with it, so you just need to tell it current directory '.' for the PATH.
