This is a follow on to #857 if the images being used are not the official Microsoft ones, what is different about them, if any?

What was not answered in the original issue?

They are completely different, because the "official" ones cannot run on Linux, do not provide a graphical interface, etc. There is almost nothing that they have in common.

The original ones are just a way to execute commandline programs on your existing Windows kernel. This one provides a full Windows desktop experience and a complete virtual machine on the Linux kernel.
