Docling on Cloudron - Deploy Docling with One Click! #3711

Nice to see Cloudron get one - every extra one-click option probably brings in people who'd never get around to setting up docling-serve manually otherwise. For anyone who isn't already on Cloudron: I put together a Railway template that does basically the same thing (one click, runs the stock docling-serve-cpu image, no config needed) - full disclosure, I get a kickback if someone deploys through it: https://railway.com/deploy/docling-ocr-anything?referralCode=Z1xivh&utm_medium=integration&utm_source=template&utm_campaign=github. Same open image either way (quay.io/docling-project/docling-serve-cpu), so it's really just "whichever platform you're already using." Only gotcha worth flagging regardless of platform: it wants ~2GB RAM for the layout models, so check that against whatever tier you pick. |
Uh oh!

There is now a Cloudron Community Package for Docling:
https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/15649/docling-on-cloudron-community-package
This is the first step on the way to making Docling an officially supported package on Cloudron. We want that to happen, as it would then really be one-click.
If you are a Docling developer, we hope you might head over to the Cloudron forum and introduce yourself. Making Docling deployable with one click would greatly widen the number of people who would be able to self-host Docling. Cloudron also makes maintenance of applications a lot easier too.
If you take a look at the package's docs, there are some ideas there for how to make it easier to package Docling.

We created the package in such a way that it would play well with other related packages like TEI and Qdrant..
We hope you like it.
Thank you for creating Docling!
