AI Assist sugggestions ideas

Here are some ideas that just came to mind when tapping/clicking the AI assist features... so to call suggestions for suggestions 🥳:

• 'Tap to apply' is totally great, but it applies all suggestions at once. If I want just one or multiple, but not all, I have to delete those others after having tapped for applying. Idea: the suggestions are separate 'buttons' (or similar, or have a separator between them, or just like it's in 'AI clarify') to apply only this or that one, and beside is 'Tap to apply all'. Like this, the user can exactly chose what to apply with a single fingertip, or multiple if desired.
• When doing Mind sweep: have the task remember at which question it was entered (for example personal, Money & paperwork things.. etc) and also use that for AI assist as background info.
• When doing 'Process Inbox', maybe have also those AI functions available in their corresponding steps. I am not certain everybody would want them, but it might be helpful for clarifying for example.
• In the 'clarifying' step at Inbox processing, there could be even more suggestions, grouped as columns or lines, which are kind of the same ideas but from different perspectives like more work-alike, more private-alike, more family-alike and so on. Maybe that could be inferred by areas or the tasks' creation data.
• The last idea is not an AI suggestion: the 'Send request...' button at delegating could have options added by the user in preferences, which then display as a dropdown: each entry could be a (maybe configurable) URI that then can be used to open a prepared e-mail, login in platform xy via web browser, open other apps via their URI prefix: lots of apps have them registered. The entry 'List of URI schemes' on Wikipedia is long, and very long in Chinese. But that's a topic that could broaden when further looking at it, so ill stop now 😎

Good batch — here's where each landed.

Separate apply buttons: shipped for the next release. Every suggested piece is now its own chip — the context, the time estimate, each tag — with an "Apply all" beside them when more than one is left. Since the point was consistency, it works the same in all four places suggestions appear: the task editor on both platforms, quick capture on mobile, and the list view's add-task row on desktop.

AI in Process Inbox: also in — the guided clarify step now offers the same AI clarify you know from the editor, shown only when the AI assistant is switched on, so it stays out of the way for everyone else.

Mind sweep remembering its question: I like it, but carrying that origin means a new synced field on tasks, which ripples through sync schemas and older clients. Parking it until the AI assist features earn that cost.

Different-perspective suggestion groups: not planning this one — several parallel suggestion sets is exactly the busy-cockpit territory I try to keep Mindwtr out of, and picking parts of one good suggestion (your first point) covers most of what choosing between variants would.

Configurable URIs on "Send request…": not as described — a user-managed URI template list is a lot of settings surface and escaping edge cases for a flow that already hands off to your mail client. If there's one specific handler you're missing (a messenger link, say), open with that and I'll look at a narrower version.

Totally great! 🥳 As mentioned in the other post, I just tapped on some now separately displayed buttons for suggestions, and that is totally great. I think the user now feels much more in control 👍
Yes, the data model is a hard topic when doing synchronizations and evolving it over time. I recently came across goose so I just read about that such things exist. Likewise, I better keep to Excel or Libreoffice for my part I think, meaning I cannot suggest totally great ideas on that 😇
As of even more suggestions: OK, it makes totally sense to not overcrowd the app out-of-the-box 🎁
For the 'send request', I was also thinking of tools like E-Mail, Messenger apps, Obsidian or Logseq. When I clicked on the button, nothing happened. But that may be because I just entered something that is not recognized in Alex' reference setting in the settings. Nevertheless, my first thought seeing the button was that it might be possible to have a dropdown there which then allows choosing to send a chat-message, an e-mail, or maybe use it also to get to the corresponding page in Logseq/Obsidian in order to enter specific notes there. So maybe this just comes down to more than one reference in settings for each of the People there...

Good catch — the button doing nothing was a real bug on desktop, not your settings. Fixed with 24f62b1: if the person's reference link in Settings → Manage is a mailto: address, clicking it now opens your mail app with the request already addressed to them; otherwise the request text is copied to the clipboard with a note saying so, ready to paste into any email, chat, or note app. In the next release.

That clipboard path is also my answer to the channel dropdown: on mobile the button already opens the system share sheet (pick any app there), and on desktop paste-anywhere covers Messenger, Obsidian, and Logseq without configuring a channel per person — so one reference link per person stays.
