Add a fix 55c8fba. I’ve added Upcoming as a separate Tasks widget list on Android and iOS 17+, using the same seven-day preview and filters as Focus → Upcoming. The default Focus widget stays unchanged; you can place an Upcoming widget beside it to see both. Upcoming rows show when a task starts or returns and open the task without a completion ring. I’ve kept the window fixed and left a broader calendar/agenda view outside this change. Widgets still use cached snapshots: the OS controls refresh timing, and you’ll need to open Mindwtr to pick up newly synced tasks or tasks newly entering the seven-day window. Please try Upcoming in the next release, especially task taps and the change of day, and let us know how it works for you. |

Current behavior
The widget currently shows today's task list only, with five selectable modes:
Focus,Inbox,Next Actions,Waiting For, andSomeday/Maybe. There is no view of tasks coming up in the next few days.A concrete case that surfaced this
I created a task in the app's calendar with a start date of tomorrow. Its status is
Next. In the app, this task is visible underFocus→Upcoming. However, it does not appear in any of the widget's five modes. This appears to be by design rather than a bug: a task with a future start date is treated as "not yet available", and the widget's mode lists seem to answer only "what can I act on now". But from a user's perspective, this is a confusing inconsistency — the app shows me what's coming, the widget doesn't. It also makes the widget feel less trustworthy as a at-a-glance surface.
Why this matters more broadly
A today-only list answers "what do I do now", but it gives no sense of time context. Some decisions depend on knowing what the next few days look like — e.g., if tomorrow is packed, a 2-hour task might need to happen today instead.
It also helps with the "today list is overwhelming" problem: seeing that there's room tomorrow makes it easier to defer without guilt, rather than feeling stuck with a wall of tasks.
A rough proposal
Open questions
I'd be happy to hear whether this fits the project's direction, and whether there's a preferred way to scope it before turning it into an issue.
