I can't open any of the models.

So I'm quite new to the total war modding scene and I just got AssetEditor and anytime I try to open any model it just gives me this error:

please tell me I just messed something up or I don't have something important installed, In case you're wondering I do have Rusted Pack File manager
and it works just fine, I'm pretty confident I set the file paths correctly, so I'd greatly appreciate if you could tell me how to fix this, or at least tell me what I did wrong.

I have exactly the same error message when I try to open a model. Also, when I open the Asset Editor, I get a bunch of errors in the command prompt, like this:

Yeah I also have that list of errors when I open Asset editor... I'm guessing it's related but I don't know how...

Same here. I was using the older version of AE with no issues up until I downloaded this newer version. Although I hadn't used the older version after the recent update that was released a few days ago. Possibly something that CA released in the latest patch that broke AE's ability to parse files?

Yeah I thought it may have been something from the latest patch too as my older version of AE was working last time I tried it, maybe the compression of the game files effecting the pathways and locations? just totally guessing though

I'm right there with you. I spent a couple of hours looking through data but ultimately I don't know what I'm looking for so it was time wasted lol. Hopefully @donkeyProgramming is able to take a look and find a solution.

Its the Latest game patch. QtRME also failed to load skeletons and animations. Reverting back to the previous patch fixed these issues for me both on my old version of AE and the newest one.

In other words, to fix the Error for every asset in the data folder you have to either:

1. Wait for a next version of Asset Editor to be up to date with current patch of TW:W3,
   or
2. Go back to a previous version of TW:W3, such as 6.1.5, for AE to function again.

Any ideas as to why the previous update and latest update caused these issues? did the project structure change?
