# OSINT-Recon: Advanced Open Source Intelligence Gathering Tool

## Overview

OSINT-Recon is a command-line and web-based tool designed for red team operators to perform advanced open-source intelligence gathering. It automates data collection from public sources, correlates findings, and generates reports in JSON, CSV, or PDF formats. Key features include:

- **Domain Reconnaissance**: Subdomain enumeration, WHOIS lookup, DNS resolution.

- **Email Harvesting**: Find associated emails using public APIs.

- **Social Media Profiling**: Search for usernames across platforms like GitHub, Twitter (X), LinkedIn.

- **Passive Network Scanning**: Integrate with Shodan for host discovery.

- **Data Correlation**: Link findings (e.g., emails to social profiles).

- **Output Formats**: JSON, CSV, or PDF reports.

- **Asynchronous Operations**: For faster execution.

- **User Interface**: Sleek Streamlit web app for easy input and visualization.

This tool is for ethical use in authorized testing. Comply with laws and obtain consent.

## Installation

1. Clone the repository:

  git clone https://github.com/yourusername/OSINT-Recon.git

  cd OSINT-Recon

2. Install dependencies:

 pip install -r requirements.txt

3. Obtain API keys (if using those modules):

- Shodan: [Sign up](https://account.shodan.io/register) and set SHODAN\_API\_KEY environment variable.

- Hunter.io: [Sign up](https://hunter.io/) and set HUNTER\_API\_KEY.

## Usage

### CLI Mode

Run via command line:

python osint_recon.py --target example.com --modules all --output report.pdf

Arguments:

- --target: Target domain, IP, or username (required).

- --modules: Comma-separated modules (e.g., domain,social) or 'all'.

- --output: Output file (JSON, CSV, or PDF).

- --verbose: Enable detailed logging.

Example:

python osint_recon.py --target google.com --modules domain,email --output google_recon.pdf --verbose

### Web UI Mode

For a sleek, easy-to-use interface:

streamlit run osint_recon.py

- Open in your browser (usually http://localhost:8501).

- Enter target, select modules, run recon, view results, and download reports.

## Modules

- **domain**: DNS and WHOIS lookups.

- **email**: Email harvesting (requires Hunter.io API key).

- **social**: Social platform checks.

- **shodan**: Shodan queries (requires Shodan API key).

- **correlate**: Data linking.
